Diogo Nóbrega
On the Immortality of Death: Beckett’s Film According to Gilles Deleuze

Diogo Nóbrega is a PhD candidate in Artistic Studies – Art and Mediations at NOVA University of Lisbon – School of Social Sciences and Humanities (NOVA.FCSH). He is also a collaborator of Nova Institute of Philosophy (IFILNOVA) and a Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) fellow. Between 2018 and 2021, he held a Visiting Student position at Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa, under the supervision of the philosopher Roberto Esposito. His PhD project is entitled Figura – Politics and Ontology of Movement in Deleuze’s Thought.
His publications have appeared in numerous books and peer-reviewed journals. Among others, he has published “De Kant a Jean-Luc Nancy: Apontamentos sobre a problemática do sublime” (Aniki: Revista Portuguesa da Imagem em Movimento, 2017); “Aproximações – Cinema e Cristianismo. Fé e Movimento do Cinema. De João Mário Grilo a Pier Paolo Pasolini” (Aniki: Revista Portuguesa da Imagem em Movimento, 2019); and “Mémoire de fille ou la ‘mémoire pensante’ d’Annie Ernaux” (Quêtes littéraires, 2022).
