Diana Neiva

Diana Neiva is a high school teacher and PhD student at the University of Minho, where she is currently working on a thesis that explores film as philosophy and thought experiments supervised by Vitor Moura, Susana Viegas and Tom McClelland.

Neiva completed a Master’s degree in Philosophy at the University of Porto in 2017, where she researched film as philosophy under the supervision of Sofia Miguens and Thomas Wartenberg. Prior to that, she obtained a Licentiate degree in Philosophy from the University of Minho in 2015.

Neiva has also coedited the book Philosophy and Film: Bridging Divides (Routledge, 2019), and has been actively involved in conducting research on film as philosophy for several years.
