Ernesto Heredero del Campo is a philosopher, diplomat, and poet.
As a career diplomat of the Kingdom of Spain since 2011, he has held various positions of responsibility. These include serving as a Counselor in the Human Resources Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters, as well as in the Consulate General of Spain in Milan. He has also served as a counselor in the Permanent Representation to the OSCE in Vienna, a consul in Brasilia, and as a Deputy Head of Mission in Skopje, his current position. He was recently appointed as a cultural advisor at the Embassy of Spain in Santiago de Chile.
Heredero del Campo holds an MA in Philosophy from the Universidad de Valladolid and is currently a PhD candidate at the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas. His research primarily focuses on topics such as Skepticism, Emil Cioran, Ludwig Wittgenstein, and the philosophy of religion.
In addition to his diplomatic work, he has served as a lecturer at the Diplomatic School and the National Institute of Public Administration, and has collaborated with several academic institutions in Spain, Brazil, and North Macedonia as a lecturer and contributor. Furthermore, from 2015 to 2017, he was a member of the selection board for the exams for access to the Senior Civil Administration Corps at the National Institute of Public Administration.
He is also an acclaimed and awarded poet. He has published three books of poetry, with translations of his work available in Macedonian, Arabic, English, and Italian.
